Guest Blog: Jill Whitlow

So, I’m creeping onto Charlie’s blog to post a little something in honor of Father’s Day this year. While I was enjoying some peaceful quiet last night after everyone was in bed (read: sweeping the kitchen floor), I started thinking about how often my husband likes to tell stories about the children in his sermons each Sunday. Happy Birthday Jill Whitlow!

Honey,
Happy Birthday! You’re my best friend-my most trusted confidant. I would not be where I am without you. You have helped me every step of the way. You are patient, kind & supportive. Our children don’t know how good they have it! Literally, I don’t know where we would be without you. You make our house a home. Plus, our church is blessed to have such an example in you.
You are pregnant with our 4th child & I look forward to building a legacy together for the glory of God. May our children be mighty in the earth & be proof that the way of the Lord is the BEST way.
I believe this is going to be a great year for you, for our family, for our women’s ministry & for our church. I can’t wait to go shopping together-without the kids!
You are my ‘fixed mark.’

Honey, Happy Anniversary!

This is a picture of Jill & I at our Catechism Banquet this past weekend. It was a wonderful conclusion to 9 months of foundational discipleship for 40 of our church members.

It’s been a whirlwind of activity in our family since September-VA Academy, Friends Day, Reconnect Conference, Fright Night, Catechism & now all the Christmas activities are coming. It can be crazy busy sometimes, but we love it. We love our church & wouldn’t have it any other way.

In just a few days, November 20th to be precise, Jill & I will celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. & I just want to say Continue Reading…
